Creative Arlington

crowdsourcing a creative economy in Arlington

Just sent the following message to the Board, since I can't be at Tuesday's meeting:

Dear Boardmembers, As a photographer and artist living in Arlington County for over 30 years, I whole-heartedly support the proposed Cultural Center and urge you to make it happen. It will not only add to Arlington's luster as a great place to live, enriching the the quality of life for all Arlington residents, but it could also become a cultural and economic magnet for the metro area, drawing new people to its many lively performances, activities and exhibitions, and spawning new businesses in the process. The Ellipse is closed now and the cultural events we have in the County are pretty scattered. The space is there. Let's use it to give Arlingtonians a multi-faceted, lively public square. Please fund the Arlington Cultural Center!!! Sincerely, Kay Chernush 3855 N. 30th Street Arlington, VA 22207
